We offer Renova, Retin-A, Elidel and Vaniqa for use in skin care regimens.
Renova is a prescription cream that can reduce certain clinical signs of photodamage associated with sun exposure and the natural aging process. The active ingredient is a Vitamin A derivative, tretinoin. Renova has been proven to reduce fine facial wrinkles in some patients after 2 or 3 months of therapy.
Retin-A comes in a cream or a gel and is used in the treatment of acne. It offers improvement of acne within two to seven weeks. Retin-A works by loosening existing acne plugs and by preventing skin cells from sticking together, inhibiting the formation of new plugs. Most patients experience little or no irritation from Retin-A.
Vaniqa is a cream that is used to slow the growth of unwanted facial hair. Vaniqa does not remove hair, instead it slows the growth and can be used in tandem with a hair removal method. Vaniqa is for use on all skin types.
Elidel is the only steroid-free prescription cream for people who have mild or moderate eczema (atopic dermatitis).Eczema symptoms may come and go. Don't wait until they turn into a flare-up or an outbreak. At the first signs or symptoms of an eczema flare, apply a thin layer of Elidel, twice daily, to the affected area(s).

Retin-A
Retin-A is a Vitamin-A derivative used effectively in the treatment of Acne Vulgaris. Although the exact mechanism of action is unknown, Retin-A, used as a topical application, is thought to loosen and expel existing acne plugs in the skin and prevent new lesions from forming. Retin-A directly attacks the primary cause of acne, the plug. |
